The main picture shows my intention to use plastic shot glasses for adult jellies. Whilst it may be fun and loads of giggles watching everyone run their tongues around to get the jelly out, I chose to make it simpler and change from jelly to gummies.
Two options, using the theme of Persia, Rose Water and Orange Blossom were flavours highlighted. Both can be found at Middle Eastern grocery stores.
Gelatine I used was Nutra Organics.
Passion Power Cordial was used along with gelatine, Vodka and Orange Blossom Water.
With our entire cordial range, we have stated at the back of the label to shake before each use. Can you see the juice separation at the top? That's because we do not use emulsifiers or thickeners. We have not tinkered around by adding a chemical substance to make it visually appealing.
Yes levels may differ as we are working with natural ripe fruit and pectin levels vary from fruit to fruit. Also hot liquid is hand poured, it cools in the bottle and further shrinkage making the levels inconsistent.
Orange Blossom Adult Gummies
2 1/2 scoops Nutra Organics gelatin
1 1/2 cups cold water
1/4 - 1/2 cup Passion Power Cordial
2 - 4 tsp Orange Blossom Water
1 cup hot water
80 - 100mls Vodka
1. Boil kettle.
2. Place gelatine into a jug with 1 1/2 cups of cold water. Stir until gelatine has absorbed water.
3. Add 1/4 of cordial to start with.
4. Pour 1 cup of boil water and mix.
5. Start with 2 tsp of Orange Blossom Water then add 80mls of vodka, stir.
6. Taste the liquid. If you feel you may prefer a lil more cordial add, or perhaps you may want a stronger Orange Blossom or Vodka taste?
Pour into rectangle dish then place in fridge. Check the gummies within half hour, when near set you do have the option to sprinkle roasted chopped pistachio then return to fridge to set.
Raspberry Jam, Rose Water and Vodka Gummies is the same recipe as Passion Power and Orange Blossom Gummy except use Raspberry Jam Cordial and Rose Water. I always have rose petals on hand and I garnished the gummies.
Who said gummies were for kids? Big kids having responsible fun.
Omit vodka and make these friendly for everyone:)
